Venue of the week – Park Hyatt Mallorca

Park Hyatt PoolNestled in the stunning Cap Vermell Valley, the Park Hyatt Mallorca is the newest luxury hotel on the island. Designed to replicate a traditional terracotta roofed village, the hotel is a beautiful combination of traditional Spanish architecture and contemporary interior design.

The hotel has 142 bedrooms ranging from standard rooms (which are only standard in name) covering an impressive floor space of 50 square meters, private balconies and beautiful views overlooking the resort and beyond. Floor to ceiling windows, walk in rain shower and separate bath tub ensure that there is always a sense of luxury. If 50 square meters isn’t enough space for your break the Presidential Suite will cater for your needs, at three times the size of the standard rooms and with a walk in wardrobe, kitchen, dining room and private Jacuzzi on the balcony it is certainly a home from home.

The meeting spaces on offer are in-keeping with the overall design of both the bedroom and communal spaces, the largest meeting space the hotel offers is the Park Ballroom, a 225 square meter space which can accommodate groups of between 50 and 150 depending on the layout required. The most special part of the meeting space is the reception terrace, spanning almost the same size and the room and with views overlooking the beautiful Canymel Valley it is a fantastic area to host drink receptions or outside dinners. Other meeting rooms on offer range in capacity from 20 up to 115, all equipped with WIFI, lighting, sound systems, projectors and screens, they are not only very well fitted, but are also very modern and ideal spaces to host any manner of event.

With three restaurants and two bars, the Park Hyatt is not short on areas to enjoy your down time. The Balearic restaurant is the main restaurant of the hotel serving both breakfast and dinner, offering traditional Mallorquin, Catalonian and Spanish cuisine as well as regional wines it is a fantastic staple restaurant for the hotel. If you’re looking for a more sociable and authentic Spanish dining experience, the Tapas Bar serves traditional bite size dishes for everyone to enjoy, boasting some of the finest produce from the local area and prepared over a wood fire, it is a collision of traditional cooking and modern décor.

If you’re not one to sit and enjoy the sunshine all day, the hotel is able to arrange various trips and activities for guests to enjoy, ranging from culture, sports and historical trips available there is something to suit every individual on one small island. The beach is only a 20-minute walk away from the beach where you can enjoy a dip in the crystal clear waters.

Having opened in the spring in 2016 and already receiving fantastic reviews, the Park Hyatt is our venue of the week.
